More hostages to be released as extended truce between Israel and Hamas enters fifth day
The news of the extension came as 11 more hostages were freed from Gaza overnight, along with the release of 33 Palestinian prisoners.
50 Israeli hostages have been released under the truce, in exchange for 150 Palestinian prisoners, with another 19 hostages freed under separate agreements.
While Israel views the truce as temporary, it is facing increasing pressure for a more lasting ceasefire and the ramp-up of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit the Middle East this week, where he will stress the need to secure the release of all hostages.

Israel and Hamas agree two-day extension to Gaza truce as 11 more Israeli hostages freed
The pause that began Friday has seen dozens of hostages freed, including Irish-Israeli nine-year-old Emily Hand.
Israel had faced enormous pressure from the families of hostages, as well as allies, to extend the truce to secure more releases.
13 hostages were freed under the terms of the truce yesterday, with 11 more freed today.
Including the 11 hostages set to return home today, a total of 50 civilian hostages have been freed by Hamas during the initial truce.
