Two hospitalised after one man stabbed and another attacked with metal piping

The separate incident saw both men suffered non-life threatening injuries.

SEPARATE ASSAULTS IN Dublin have left two men hospitalised overnight.

One man in his twenties was allegedly attacked shortly after 11.30pm in the Willow Wood Walk area of Blanchardstown by a group of three men wearing balaclavas.

The incident took place outside a house and the man was struck a number of times with metal piping.

He was taken to Connolly Hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

A second alleged assaulted happened at the bottom of the Parnell Square area.

The 20-year-old man was involved in an altercation with a group of males shortly after 10.15pm last night.

A short time after this he entered a premises on O’Connell Street with what were thought to be stab wounds to the stomach.

The man was taken to the Mater Hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
