New York based Amanda Barise has recently garnered worldwide attention for her stint on Season 23 of American Idol. Placing in the top 14, the artist is gaining a fanbase across the globe who fell in love with her vocal prowess. Now she has unleashed her highly anticipated EP Cute and Deadly and my is it riveting.

Cute and Deadly is a three song celebration of her personal and professional achievement and her road to confidence and joy. She shares, “The truth is, after feeling like I missed out on a lot of fun in my early 20s due to depression and a lack of confidence in myself, I’m a fighter,” Amanda says. “Through my experiences and successful performances on Idol, I feel like I’ve rediscovered myself as a grown woman who can make it in this industry. To live in Chelsea (NYC) from 2019 paying my bills making music, you have to be cute and a little deadly." The title track features funk-fueled soundscapes under Amanda Barise's powerful and spellbinding vocals. Dripping with soulful swagger, Amanda sings her heart out, detailing the hard work, perseverance and ultimate success in her current life. "Girl Like Me" is a seductive and sultry slice of R&B featuring her impressive vocal acrobatics. Enticing melodies that glide over downtempo beats, jazzy bass, and sexy keys add to the track's allure. "Girl Like Me" is all about showing what makes you special to that love interest. Amanda sings, "They don't know how to hustle / Quite like me / I just want a chance with you / To know my name / You never met a girl like me," showing this theme.

Amanda Barise has a voice unlike any other. As a graduate of The New School, Amanda holds a BFA in Jazz and Contemporary Music. Her collaboration with Third Reprise went viral and her own music has garnered over a million streams. Take a listen to the new EP and get lost in the sound!
