AMÉMÉ and Barney Bones heat up summer with "Sweat" on Insomniac Records

West African afro-house pioneer AMÉMÉ has teamed up with GRAMMY-nominated artist Barney Bones for their brooding new collaboration "Sweat," released today via Insomniac Records. The track blends both artists' distinct styles through a moody afro-house foundation anchored by Bones' nonchalant vocal delivery and AMÉMÉ's signature tribal percussion.

"Sweat" combines carefree vocal elements with deep chord progressions, rolling synth sequences, and the hypnotic rhythmic patterns that have become AMÉMÉ's trademark. The collaboration showcases the producer's ability to create dancefloor-ready tracks while maintaining his cultural authenticity.

"With 'Sweat,' I wanted to turn up the temperature," AMÉMÉ explains. "Barney Bones came through with that raw, magnetic energy, and together we cooked up a track that's made to move you. It's a celebration of rhythm, dancing, and letting go."

The release arrives during a landmark year for AMÉMÉ, following two sets at Insomniac's flagship EDC Las Vegas and his sophomore Coachella performance. In April, he headlined Boiler Room Lagos, marking the platform's return to Nigeria and showcasing his role in elevating afro-house to global prominence while celebrating his Benin heritage.

Born Hubert Sodogandji in Benin, West Africa, AMÉMÉ has established himself as a cultural architect whose One Tribe concept has evolved from a Brooklyn event series into a global movement. His recent high-profile collaborations include a reimagination of fellow Benin native Angelique Kidjo's iconic track "Agolo."

US-based Barney Bones brings his own credentials to the partnership, having previously worked with Channel Tres, J. Worra, Walker & Royce, and DRAMA. His GRAMMY-nominated status and growing dance music presence make him an ideal collaborator for AMÉMÉ's genre-bridging approach.

"Sweat" is available now via Insomniac Records.
